What a week!

So I am finally settling down and taking a bit of a break. The title of this post is what a week but it should be labled “What a month!”. A lot’s been going on at the office. We’ve been slammed with getting ready for Izeafest and dealing with rolling out all the features involved in that. My job primarily has been more of a support role than anything else. Testing features and back end stuff, finding performance bottlenecks and fixing them. I did a lot of work on the Cloudshout server.

Personally my wife and I have decided to start down the road of adopting a child. We’ve been trying for a few years without any luck to have one of our own but we haven’t been given that opportunity yet. We had always intended to adopt, even if we had a child of our own, but since we haven’t had any luck as of yet we plan to accelerate those plans. There’s a lot of red tape and general asshattery involved in doing this. I know it’s to protect the kids but it’s funny. You need a license to drive a car but anyone can have a kid. Adopting a kid however involves many hoops to jump through, but that’s a subject for another post.

Right now my wife and I are in classes. We have classes until December so nothing is really going to move on that front until then. I’ll talk about it more later in other posts but I wanted to get it out there that this is what we’ve decided. We’ve been thinking on it for a while and I guess this is just a way for me to set it in stone in my mind. Thanks for listening…thanks for reading..and take care!

See ya next time,

Trevor
